Pickett County elected Danny Huddleston as Circuit Court Clerk tonight with 1,243 votes. Huddleston won the Circuit Court Clerk position against Sarah Parris Storie. Huddleston secured the position with a 516 vote difference.

Michael Reagon has won the race for the position of Fentress County Sheriff. Reagon received roughly 54 percent of all votes across the county to win the election in a race surrounded in controversy between the candidates.

Dale Reagan has won the race for Clay County Mayor with all votes accounted for. Reagan defeated his opponent David “Rat” Westmoreland, receiving over 54 percent of the votes.
Karl Dean Wins Democratic Primary for Governor
Former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean is the winner of the democratic primary race for governor of Tennessee. The race was called with only two percent of votes received from across the state. Dean defeated fellow candidates Craig Fitzhugh and Mezianne Vale Payne in the primary. Dean served as Nashville’s mayor for two terms from 2007 to 2015.
Bredesen Wins Democratic Senate Primary
Democratic-favorite Phil Bredesen is declared the winner of the democratic primary race for U.S. Senator. With one percent of votes counted, Bredesen received over 95 percent of all votes across Tennessee, defeating Gary Davis and John Wolfe. Bredesen served as Tennessee’s governor for two terms between 2003 to 2011.
Blackburn Secures U.S. Senate Primary
Marsha Blackburn won the U.S. Senate Republican nominee tonight. Blackburn secured the nominee with 85.1 percent of the votes. Blackburn defeated Aaron L. Pettigrew in the Republican primary. From 1999 to 2003, Blackburn served in the Tennessee Senate.
