Jamestown funeral home owner Chadrick Mundy faces dozens of charges following a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation probe into allegations of theft, fraud, and the mishandling of human remains.
Special agents with the TBI said the investigation into Mundy Funeral Home began in May at the request of District Attorney General Jared Effler. Agents said the business owner allegedly filed multiple fake insurance claims tied to burial policies.
The release said Mundy allegedly took advantage of elderly and vulnerable people for personal gain. Investigators said the owner also failed to properly handle ashes following cremations.
