National Weather Service Officials confirmed two EF0 tornadoes touched down in Cumberland and Fentress counties Saturday night.
Officials said the first tornado touched down at 6:21 p.m. near Grapevine Road in Bledsoe County before moving northeastward into Cumberland County. Officials said the storm reached peak winds of 75 mph and traveled a path length of 1.77 miles.
The first tornado reached a maximum width of 140 yards and lifted at 6:27 p.m. Officials said the storm uprooted many trees, blew shingles off roofs, and caused damage to multiple barns and outbuildings.
A second EF0 tornado touched down at 6:32 p.m. near Heinss Road in Fentress County. Officials said this tornado packed winds up to 70 mph and traveled 0.43 miles.
Officials said the Fentress County tornado reached a maximum width of 50 yards while snapping treetops and uprooting trees. Officials said the storm continued northeastward for two minutes before lifting near Baseline Road.
