The McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a new tourism marketing contract to expand the city’s advertising reach through state partnerships and grant funding.
Tourism and Marketing Director Jordan Pupols said the agreement allows the city to more than triple its advertising investment through the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development cooperative program. Pupols said the winning firm received the highest evaluation among six proposals submitted during the city’s request for proposals process.
“Out of the $29,750 that would be allocated directly towards advertising, they’re able to bring an additional $92,500 approximately dollars in advertising value through that Google grant as well as with TDTD co-op funds,” Pupols said.
Pupols said the selection was based on the firm’s marketing campaign, financial proposal, and ability to manage specific advertising opportunities.
Pupols said Design Sensory, the selected firm, currently manages the tourism campaign for McMinnville and the new agreement ensures that marketing efforts continue without interruption.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted unanimously to authorize the contract.
