White County Commissioner Derrick Hutchings will remain chairman of the White County Commission.
Hutchings beat out Dakota White in a 5-4 vote. Only nine commissioners were present for the voting.
Commissioner Lanny Selby elected as vice-chairman, and Commissioner David Cranford was elected as parliamentarian by acclamation.
The commission approved members for several other committees, including the Financial Management Committee, Purchasing Committee, Steering A and B Committee, Solid Waste Committee, White County Fair Board Member, Agricultural Committee, White County Library Board, and Beer Board.
