The Putnam County Rescue Squad saved a citizen Thursday morning that fell down a steep embankment in the western portion of the county.
The hiker was stuck in a 50 foot drop off over night until a neighbor heard a cry for help the following morning. The county’s rope rescue team along with other emergency personnel set up a lowering system to retrieve the victim.
She received significant but not critical injuries.
