The City of Baxter plans on updating its board of alderman meeting procedures.
Mayor John Martin said that the city will now require agenda requests and public comment requests a week in advance.
“This will give everyone an opportunity to come in, if they have questions, concerns about water or anything and voice those,” Martin said. “It’s just better for the council to know who’s coming.”
Martin said that they also plan on limiting public comment to about two or three minutes. He said that the board believes changing this will eliminate the potential for issues and better streamline the meetings.
