The Fentress County Highway Department has been able to install a temporary fix on Clear Creek Lane.
Safety Designee Barbara Powell said this will be one lane until culverts can be reinstalled on the road. Powell said that reports came in that roughly 15 families had been stranded before the fix.
Road Supervisor Joey Reagan said the road got washed out splitting the road in two. Reagan said crews are working on the road now but expects the road to be partially closed for multiple days.
He said they are working to get new culvert pipe installed.
