The Putnam County School System is looking for a School Age Care program site director at Algood Elementary School.
School Age Care Program Coordinator Krista Hamilton said the site director is responsible for the before and after school program. Hamilton said kids do activities, get help with homework and spend extra time with their friends.
“School Age Care is a huge asset to these families because families need to work and we extend beyond the school day,” Hamilton said. “So the kids come to us immediately after school, they don’t have to be transported to a private facility.”
Hamilton said the best fit for the position tends to be college students, focusing on education or business. She said site directors handle bookkeeping, hiring activity instructors and setting up daily activities.
