The Tennessee School Board Association presented its Board of Distinction Award to the Putnam County School Board Thursday night.
White County School Board Chair Jayson McDonald made the presentation. McDonald serves as the Upper Cumberland Director of the organization. He said it’s difficult for school boards to achieve the honor and few in the state do so.
“This award is one of TSBA’s most prestigious awards and I commend your board for meeting all the criteria and requirements for this award,” McDonald said.
