A Crossville man charged with first degree murder Sunday in the death of his wife.
33-year-old Rony Noe Ambrocio Cruz being held in the Cumberland County Jail without bond. The TBI and the Crossville Police Department charged Cruz after finding his wife, Sante Ceciliar Mendez, dead in a wooded area Sunday morning.
According to the TBI, Crossville Police responded to the 100 block of Village Lane Sunday morning. Dispatchers received a 911 call in which the caller hung up. During the investigation, they found the wife dead and evidence that the husband was responsible.
