Highway 111 closed in both directions in Cookeville Monday night after a vehicle struck a guard rail spreading debris across multiple lanes.
The incident happened just before 10:00pm at Fleetguard Road, just off Interstate 40. Both northbound and southbound lanes closed for more than an hour, according to Putnam County Emergency officials.
A vehicle struck the guardrail in the center median, the ramp that directs vehicles onto Fleetguard Drive.
