Two inmates will spend more than 10-years behind bars for raping a woman inside the Putnam County Jail in December 2018.
Tia Leigh Fabri and Shelby Cheyenne Nunley pleaded guilty on Monday to an aggravated rape charge. A May 2019 indictment accused Fabri, Nunley, and one other defendant of unlawful sexual penetration against a female victim.
Fabri received a 15-year sentence to serve at 100-percent. Nunley will serve 100-percent of an 18-year prison term. A judge has ordered both women to register as sex offenders upon their release from prison.
A third defendant in the case, Brandy Nichole Reed, will appear on the March 23 criminal court docket.
The Office of the 13th Judicial District Attorney General began investigating the incident early last year. They presented the case to a grand jury on May 7.
