Gallatin Man Facing Meth Charge Following Traffic Stop

A Gallatin man faces methamphetamine charges following a traffic stop for speeding in Putnam County.

Tennessee Highway Patrol charged David Gabriel Hill with manufacture, deliver, sell, or possession of methamphetamine. State troopers came in contact with the defendant Friday after observing his commercial vehicle speeding and following too close.

An arrest warrant said he admitted to having meth inside the vehicle. Authorities conducted a search and located a plastic baggie in the right sleeper berth containing over an ounce of the drug.

The warrant stated that Hill has two previous convictions for selling drugs. He left the Putnam County jail after posting $5,000 bond.
