A maintenance project scheduled for next week will close the section of Highway 96 that crosses over Center Hill Dam.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced the three-day project Thursday afternoon. Officials said the closure provides for the safety of employees while making room for the equipment utilized during the work.
Barricades will prevent pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle traffic from crossing the dam December 16-19 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
