A Cookeville woman suffered injuries during a single-vehicle crash in Putnam County Thursday morning.
The accident happened on Interstate 40 westbound at the 295 mile marker.
Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the injured driver as 31-year-old Chandra Long.
A crash report said Long was negotiating a right curve when her Pontiac Grand AM hydroplaned and went off the left shoulder. The vehicle collided with an embankment and came to a final rest in a tree line.
State Troopers did not issue any charges or citations following the crash. The report said Long was wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred.
