Children Injured After Car Collides With Bus Monday

Authorities charged a Crossville woman on Monday after her vehicle crashed into a church bus carrying ten juveniles in Cumberland County.

The incident happened just before 3 p.m. on Highway 70 in Pleasant Hill.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 29-year-old Kristin R. Findley was traveling West in a 2004 Ford Taurus. 33-year-old Kirsten M. Teeple of Crossville was driving the First United Methodist bus in the eastbound lane.

A crash report said Findley’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck the bus, causing it to overturn in the middle of the roadway.

Teeple and six juveniles suffered injuries during the crash. Doctors at Cumberland Medical Center treated and released all seven individuals later that day.

Findley did not suffer any injuries. State Troopers did charge her with driving on the wrong side of the road and having no insurance.
