The Tennessee Tech Executive committee has appointed an interim Vice President for Research and Economic Development.
Dr. Francis Otuonye will serve the position until the university completes the search for a new president. Committee members approved the appointment during a special-called meeting Wednesday.
Dr. Harvill Eaton served as Interim Vice President for nearly 12 months, but decided to step aside earlier this year.
TTU President Phil Oldham said he hopes to name a new president for research and economic development by January.
