The Tennessee Department of Transportation will try to alleviate some holiday travel pains by suspending all road projects next week.
A press release states TDOT will pause lane closures on state routes and interstates beginning at Wednesday, July 3 at noon.
Construction will resume across the state beginning Monday, July 8 at 6 a.m.
Projects will be suspended due to an increase in traffic during the Fourth of July holiday.
