Putnam County State Troopers have charged a man for using a fake ID to obtain employment.
Trooper Doug Foster arrested Isidro Jesus Montel Gonzalez on Thursday during a traffic stop for a window tent violation. The 39-year-old is charged with identity theft and four counts of forgery.
Arrest warrants indicate that Gonzalez possessed a fake drivers license and social security card in the name of Miguel Angel Roura Ortiz. The trooper noted that Gonzalez allegedly used the identification to obtain a job and cash payroll checks totaling $6,513.
Gonzalez remains behind bars under $13,000 bond. He will make an initial court appearance on July 19.
