Putnam County authorities arrested three individuals following a purse-snatching incident in Algood Tuesday.
Officials charged Richard Hopper Jr. and Seth White, of North Carolina, and Chris Perry of Utah for their role in the crime.
The Algood Police Department reports the men were in the Algood Walmart when they stole a purse from a shopping cart while the victim wasn’t looking.
A witness followed the men outside the store and got a vehicle description for police. A Putnam County Sheriff’s sergeant later noticed the vehicle and stopped the men on South Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville.
All three men were arrested for theft and are being held at the Putnam County Jail.
Algood Police say the men may be wanted for other crimes across Tennessee and North Carolina.
