A White County grand jury has indicted a former Cookeville Police officer accused of assaulting his wife last December.
29-year-old Kyle Farley was indicted earlier this week on aggravated and domestic assault charges after allegedly striking and using a taser on his wife during an argument.
A June 19 discussion date was scheduled by Judge David Patterson during a court hearing Monday. Patterson also set a deadline for July 11.
The White County Sheriff’s Office previously reported two juveniles were inside the home when the alleged assault occurred. Farley was placed on administrative leave by the Cookeville Police Department following the incident.
