State officials have canceled the water boil advisory in Spencer.
Mayor Mickey Robinson said Wednesday afternoon that testing results came back negative for any bacteria.
The water boil notice was put in place Tuesday morning after a tractor trailer struck a fire hydrant on Industry Drive and caused damage to the town’s main line system.
Robinson said the city lost nearly 1.7 million gallons of water.
