A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries Friday morning when the bike struck the side of a car on Highway 70 East in DeKalb County.
40-year-old Jimmy McCord received treatment for minor injuries at Saint Thomas Dekalb Hospital.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, McCord’s 2019 Triumph motorcycle struck the side of a 2014 Kia Sorento, driven by 74-year-old Michael Braswell of Smithville.
The report said Braswell attempted to pass McCord in a passing lane when McCord’s motorcycle crossed the center line and struck the Sorento in the side.
No charged were filed in the crash and Braswell did not suffer any injuries.
