A one-vehicle car fire claimed the life of an Antioch woman yesterday evening.
The accident took place on northbound State Hwy 108 near McMinnville around 4:59 pm.
Maria Lopez, 46, crossed over the center line and traveled off the left side of the roadway. Lopez’s 2004 Toyota Matrix struck an earth embankment.
The report said Lopez continued to travel through the grass and hit a bridge embankment.
The Toyota Matrix came to a rest and caught on fire.
According to the report, Lopez succumbed to injuries from the fire.
