A horse suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Cumberland County Thursday.
The accident happened around 2:00 p.m. on Highway 70 North.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a 2016 Ford Focus struck the horse when the animal entered the roadway from the left. The driver of the vehicle simply unable to avoid the collision, according the THP crash report.
The owner of the horse transported the animal to the U.T. Veterinary Clinic for treatment.
