A Nashville man struck and injured by a Warren County ambulance early Saturday morning on Nashville’s Interstate 24.
An accident involving two vehicles happened between Haywood Lane and Bell Road about 4:30am. The vehicles stopped on opposite shoulders following the crash. The vehicle of 29-year-old Cornelius Hurt remained partially on the roadway.
Hurt exited the vehicle but had returned to retrieve an item. Hurt was struck by a 2016 ambulance, driven by 57-year-old Henry Dekort of McMinnville.
EMS transported Hurt to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Dekort taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation continues.
