Parts of the Upper Cumberland will awaken this Thursday morning to white…as in snow.
A band of snow showers passed through the region beginning around 3am. Grassy surfaces became snow covered in many parts of the area, especially those south of Interstate 40.
The snow has forced the Warren County Schools, the White County Schools, and the Van Buren County Schools to open two hours late.
Significant road problems not expected with this snow as ground temperatures have been very warm for several weeks.
A cold day ahead and then a rainy weekend in store with another inch plus of rain possible Saturday.
