A vehicle set to be repossessed by a Crossville dealership ended up being stolen from the owner’s front yard.
Owner Kristin Owens left the keys in her Chevrolet Trailblazer that she could no longer afford. According to police reports, Owens told Mountain Motors of Crossville to pick up the vehicle. Owens said she noticed three days later the car no longer in her driveway and she assumed the dealership had picked it up. That same day, the dealership called asking for the car’s whereabouts.
Owens called Crossville Police who tracked down the vehicle thanks to its GPS system. The vehicle sat at 728 East First Street where police responded. Police talked to Jessica D. Brewer at the address who said she believed Natasha Jordan had brought the car. Owens told police she knew Jordan and did not believe she would take the car without permission.
Police continue their investigation.
