Smith County authorities have charged a county jail inmate with attempting to hire an individual to kill his wife.
27-year-old Larry E. Gentry was being held behind bars on a charge of child rape. He’s now charged with solicitation to commit a felony in connection with a murder for hire plot.
Authorities said Gentry allegedly tried hiring a county inmate to kill his wife.
Authorities found out about Gentry’s alleged plot when they discovered notes discussing the plan with a fellow inmate.
