DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 54-year-old Dowelltown man after he allegedly lied about his missing car.
John Wesley Wall reported his 1991 Toyota pickup truck had been stolen. Later, he recanted after deputies learned the truck had been involved in an accident, but the driver left the scene because he was intoxicated.
Wall is charged with filing a false report. His bond was set at $5,000 and his court date is October 26.
