The Crossville City Council gave approval Wednesday night to apply for a $1.3 million Transportation Alternatives Grant Program.
The program is designed to help communities perform repairs on pedestrian and bicycle right-of-ways, pedestrian signals, and street lights.
The grant will require a 20-percent match and the city has agreed to appropriate $40,000 to assist TDOT with the pedestrian signals if they receive the grant.
