Smith County authorities have charged a Wilburn Hollow resident wilh animal cruelty charges.
The charges issued after authorities found a dead pit bull and two malnourished pit bulls at the home of 38-year-old Jose Guerrero.
Authorities said they responded to the scene and found the dead pit bull and at least one dog chained to the front porch.
The Smith County Humane Society is currently caring for the malnourished dogs.
Guerrero will appear in court at a later date.
