Eclipse glasses from Cumberland County’s Art Circle Public Library may not be safe.
County Mayor Kenneth Carey Jr.’s office released a statement Tuesday asking people to not use the glasses to view the eclipse.
The glasses were purchased through Amazon.
The online sales giant notified the county it can’t confirm the vendor is a recommended manufacturer.
Amazon said folks shouldn’t use those glasses to view the eclipse.
