Algood officials have learned the price of a potential paving project in town.
City Administrator Keith Morrison said the preliminary price to pave Main Street from Burton Branch Road to Sonic came in a $245,000.
“That includes grinding, repaving and redoing the loops for all the traffic lights,” Morrison said. “It will also redo the crosswalks and re stripe that section of road.”
Morrison said the project does not include any sidewalk repairs in the area.
The project will require the board’s approval of a bid if they choose to take on the project.
The road hasn’t been paved since the opening of Wal-Mart.
