The Putnam County Grand Jury members must now show ID to enter the jury chambers.
Sources said last week, a defendant showed up for court but wound up in the wrong room. He reportedly voted on several cases before an officer figured out the man was in the wrong place.
The man hasn’t been identified. District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway isn’t expected to file charges. The man didn’t appear to have criminal intent, he said.
The cases the defendant voted on were presented again to the Grand Jury again.
A new Grand Jury will be seated in August, Dunaway said.
