In the last month Cookeville resident Julia Gruber raised thousands through a gofundme.com account to combat a controversial billboard in south Cookeville.
Now new billboard has been ordered and should be up soon, she said.
“It needs to draw attention to what Cookeville is about and I refuse to think that Cookeville is an anti-Muslim community, I just don’t think that,” Gruber said.
“Cookeville is community, respect and love,” the billboard states.
It will be up at least four months.
Gruber was angry after the Tennessee Pastors Network put up a controversial billboard supporting President Donald Trump’s travel ban in south Cookeville.
