Add Cumberland Mountain State Park to the list of places celebrating next month’s solar eclipse.
The park plans a triathlon for Sunday, Aug. 20. That includes a 200-yard pool swim, a 7-mile bike race and a 5K run. Registration is $60.
Eclipse day will begin with a 5K run Monday, Aug. 21. Registration for that run is $25.
A free eclipse viewing party will begin after the race Monday. That includes live music, food tents, bounce houses for kids and guided hikes by park rangers.
The City of Crossville and Cumberland Medical Center will sponsor the event.
