Warren County’s Driver Testing Center will officially remain open for at least another year.
The McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved an ordinance last night that keeps the center open until June 30th of next year.
Under the ordinance the city will pay $4,000 a month to keep the center open.
Alderman Mike Neal voted against the measure and had harsh words for the counties state lawmakers. Neal questioned the efforts of Representative Paul Sherrell, Judd Matheny and Senator Janice Bowling. Each lawmaker voted for Governor Haslam’s budget, which eliminated funding for the driver testing center.
