Starting July 1st all Cumberland County employees will be required to have their paychecks directly deposited into their bank accounts.
The new policy was adopted by the County Commission this week. Officials say the new policy will save the county both time and money as the cost for labor, printing, and distributing physical check continues to grow.
91-percent of all Cumberland County employees are already set up for direct deposit.
