Algood awarded the Excellence in Risk Management Award from Public Entity Partners for its commitment to safety and proactive leadership.
Representative Bob Lynch said the award is reserved for communities that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to safety and service. Lynch said the city’s leadership has invested in safety equipment, provided employee training, and developed strong safety policies.
“Individuals recognized that have taken that responsibility a step further,” Lynch said, “Turning thoughtful policies and proactive ideas into safer workplaces and stronger communities.”
Lynch said the commitment to safety begins with leadership and is reflected throughout the entire organization. Lynch said City Administrator Keith Morrison, Parks and Recreation Director Roy Phipps, and Public Works Director Walt Bradshaw were specifically noted for making safety a priority across city operations.
Lynch said the city maintains excellent communication with the loss control team and approaches risk management as a true partnership.
“It is an honor to recognize the individuals who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to safety, service, and risk management within their communities,” Lynch said. “Their work reflects the values, the heart of public entity partners, protecting people, safeguarding public resources, and helping Tennessee communities survive, thrive, thrive.”
Lynch said the award is given to those who have turned proactive ideas into safer environments for both employees and the public. Lynch said the city’s leadership leads by example, which is reflected in the employees they serve alongside every day.
