Fairfield Glade launching a new 300-home residential development called St. George Village designed to integrate an active lifestyle with a planned community environment.
Fairfield Glade Homes Communications Consultant Gail Rymer said the project represents one of the first major developments located south of Peavine Road. Rymer said the expansion aims to connect residents through community infrastructure including sidewalks, special lighting, and common areas featuring fire pits and a dog park.
“The idea is to bring that active lifestyle that Fairfield Glade is known for to this new community,” Rymer said. “It’s the first new development in quite a while that is being designed as a community all together.”
Rymer said the construction process will prioritize the natural environment and avoid cookie-cutter architectural style. Rymer said builders work to ensure the homes blend into the existing residential areas and maintain the character Fairfield Glade residents have come to expect.
“We don’t want to go in and clear cut,” Rymer said. “We want to be able to go in and do what’s necessary to put the house safely on the lot but without taking away the natural aesthetics.”
Rymer said the development will offer two, three, and four-bedroom homes with prices ranging from approximately $450,000 to $600,000. Despite Fairfield Glade being known for its strong retirement community Rymer said the neighborhood is designed to attract a diverse demographic including young families and empty-nesters.
“I think it brings a sense of community from the moment you move in,” Rymer said. “You’ll have the major infrastructure in, you’ll be able to immediately use the amenities, and you’ll feel part of that community from the moment you take the keys to the house.”
Rymer said the project aligns with the long-term vision of the developer, Tom Anderson, to provide big-city leisure opportunities with small-town feel. Rymer said the popularity of walking trails in other parts of Fairfield Glade served as a motivator for including them in the St. George Village plans.
“It’s his vision for Fairfield Glade to be able to bring in new communities that will add to what Fairfield Glade already has to offer, still bringing that small community feel but while providing the amenities that people want and sometimes seek in larger communities, but they’ll be here in Fairfield Glade,” Rymer said.
Rymer said infrastructure work is expected to begin in August with home construction starting this fall. Rymer said the goal is to complete all 300 lots within the next three to five years.
“We hope and plan to move quickly on this and have it completed and have everybody happy so we can open new sections and keep adding to the area south of Peavine Road,” Rymer said.
Rymer said the development is located within a mile of the nearest golf course and will provide residents access to existing community features like pickleball and tennis courts.
