Crossville Social Media Impressions Reach Tens Of Millions

The Crossville-Cumberland Chamber of Commerce is celebrating a significant surge in tourism engagement as social media impressions for the area have reached tens of millions over the past year.

Chamber President Ethan Hadley said the city’s digital presence has grown from thousands of followers to tens of thousands across various social media channels.

“We have local businesses who tell us that they have customers coming in their shops from outside the county, from outside the city, and mentioning that they found out about their whatever it is they are offering, whether it’s shopping or food or what have you, through those the impressions that they got from the social media work that we’ve done,” Hadley said.

Hadley said the Chamber of Commerce hired P.J. Barnes 13 months ago to focus exclusively on tourism assets to drive traffic to Cumberland County. Hadley said the growth in digital engagement reflects the importance of digital platforms.

“I’d like to take the Chamber’s time briefly tonight to thank the Council for its understanding of the value of tourism to this community,” Hadley said.

The Chamber of Commerce for the Tennessee’s golf capital has nearly 7,000 followers on Facebook, where they announce local events and promote small businesses.

“I just want to say thank you on behalf of the Chamber and the other members of the Convention and Visitors Bureau for your understanding and support of the tourism efforts that we have underway,” Hadley said.
