Residents in the Algood area will experience a six-hour power outage starting late Saturday.
Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation officials said the scheduled outage is expected to begin at 11:00 PM and conclude by 5:00 AM on Sunday. The work is required for the TVA to complete necessary maintenance on their transmission line.
Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation officials said the outage will impact numerous communities including Brotherton Mountain, The Overlook, and Falling Water Road. Other affected areas include Canada Flatt, Macedonia, Parragon, and White Plains.
Officials said the maintenance work also covers Shenandoah, Stonehenge, Pinnacle View, and Plantation View. The outage extends to Rocky Point, part of Shady Lane, Victory View, and Rolling Hills.
Additionally, residents in Twin Creeks, Hyder Mountain, Lake Pointe, Poplar Grove, Mount Pleasant, and Mountain Top Lane should also prepare for the service interruption.
UCEMC officials said the estimated restoration time for all affected customers is six hours.
