Clarkrange Lady Buffaloes girls basketball head coach Lamar Rogers announced his resignation Thursday morning after nearly five decades leading the Lady Buffaloes.
Rogers is the winningest coach in Tennessee girls basketball history and the third winningest head coach of all time at 1364 wins.
Since taking over in the mid-1970s, he transformed the Lady Buffaloes into a model of consistency, discipline, and excellence. His teams captured eight state championships and made regular appearances in the TSSAA state tournament, often entering each season with championship expectations.
Rogers is also the athletic director for Clarkrange High School.
