Cookeville Home Depot Set For Fall Opening, One Of 12

The Cookeville Home Depot will be one of 12 new stores opening across the country in 2026.

A press release Wednesday said the store will open this fall.

“We’re excited about all of the progress we’ve made in our stores,” Senior Executive Vice President Ann-Marie Campbell said. “And our efforts are paying off. In 2025, our customer satisfaction scores increased every quarter, and our tenure with hourly associates is the highest it’s been since 2017.”

The new Tennessee location joins planned brick-and-mortar stores in Texas, Florida, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Oklahoma and Utah.

The new Cookeville store will roll out features including flexible checkout areas, specialty showrooms, new merchandising displays and larger garden centers. The locations will also feature new storage areas for online orders picked up in the store and a full-service tool rental center featuring pro-grade equipment.

The new stores will cater to professionals, which continues to be a major focus for the retailer. The forthcoming locations will each include a dedicated team for professionals.

“By moving inventory and expert support closer to some of the nation’s fastest growing regions, the company is shortening the distance between a project’s start and its completion,” the press release said.

The new locations will feature tools like artificial intelligence-powered blueprint takeoff services and a material list builder to streamline ordering.
