Residents in DeKalb County can help save lives later this month during the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Blood Assurance Drive.
The event takes place Thursday, February 26 from 12 noon until 5 p.m. inside the mobile Bloodmobile stationed at the County Complex parking lot near the Smithville Senior Citizens Center.
“Blood Assurance is the SOLE blood provider for our local hospitals,” the announcement said.
The mobile unit will be located next to South Congress Boulevard. Donors can schedule appointments online or by contacting local coordinator Jimmy Poss.
“Give local, save local with Blood Assurance,” the organization said.
Participants donating during the latter half of the month are eligible for specific incentives.
