Celina is up to date in meeting the requirements set by the state after violating the state’s wastewater regulations.
According to TDEC, Celina has implemented a Capacity, Management, Operation, and Maintenance Program. Celina has submitted a plan for the program, which will provide a framework to operate and maintain its sanitary-sewer collection system efficiently, safely, and in compliance with state and federal standards.
TDEC imposed a sewer consent order on Celina back in May, after the town failed to comply with the effluent limitations and conditions in the city’s permit.
The consent order remains in place for now.
