Twin Lakes celebrating the opening of its new Celina location.
CEO Jonathan West said the new building will be an improvement on the previous Celina location, which the cooperative leased for 20 years. West said it expanded the lobby and parking lot to accommodate members and growing service needs. West said small-town investment sends a message of loyalty.
“I think anytime you open a new office in one of our smaller towns,” West said. “It’s telling that community that our investment and our goal is to continue to serve that community for many, many many decades to come.”
West said opening a new office provides the cooperative with the opportunity to invite community members into the building to visit. West said this allows it to demonstrate to the community that providing better service is the ultimate goal.
“But as time has gone and our continuous growth in the number and types of services that we offered,” West said. “We knew that we needed more space, we needed a more convenient space for our customers.”
West said the cooperative will offer new services, such as mobile devices and hotspots, which will be introduced in the upcoming year. West said Twin Lakes’ broadband service will continue to receive investment and expand further.
West said the building required careful consideration of their budget and long-term plan, resulting in a longer build project. West said they wanted to ensure the build timeline had aligned with their other plans.
“We just need a little more space for customers to come in,” West said. “We port existing numbers, we sell new phones at the same time. What we are continuing to service and support all of our broadband offerings at the same time, what the new space does just gives the customers more room.”
West said he wanted to offer people a way to speak with a representative about products or services face-to-face. West wanted there to always be a form of direct interaction with someone at the office.
West said each of the seven counties they service now has an office with a mobile display.
“We work with customers, whether they can text us, they can email us, they can call us, there are all avenues of communication,” West said. “But we want to make sure that they know that the first form of communication, walking in, talking to someone that you know in your community, is always an option.”
