The Historic Donoho Hotel in Red Boiling Springs has been deemed a total loss by local authorities after the hotel caught fire Tuesday morning.
Red Boiling Springs Fire Chief Randall Bray said three different fire departments and four different fire trucks responded to the scene. Bray said the fire is believed to have been an electrical fire. Bray said crews are still working to put out hotspots within the remainder of the hotel.
Bray said there is an ongoing investigation. The hotel was built in 1914.
